I recently learned of this great site called Swagbucks. It lets you make money for searching the web as you normally do. Each search has a chance of getting you Swag Bucks, which are like points. Once you get enough Swag Bucks, you can redeem them for prizes. The best one there is a $5 Amazon gift card. It costs 450 Swag Bucks, and each winning search earns you 10 Swag Bucks, except on Mega Swag Bucks Day (more on that later).
I make at least $10 every two weeks - a month. I've gotten $45 in Amazon credit so far after using it for about 2-3 months. It's easy to use, just search the web normally and you'll win randomly. Searching isn't the only way to win, though- they've got many other things that can let you earn more Swag Bucks.
On Tuesdays, Swagbucks has the Twitter Tuesday Phrase That Pays, where people post a creative tweet with a given phrase, and the winning tweets are awarded Swag Bucks.
Thursdays are Twitter Trivia, where you can answer Trivia questions on Twitter for Swag Bucks to the first correct responders, with the prizes on the questions getting higher and having a smaller winner cap.
Friday is Mega Swag Bucks Day, and here's the deal- on random searches, sometimes you won't win the usual 10 Swag Bucks, but rather a Mega Bill. You can get 20, 30, 50, 100, 500, or even 1000 Swag Bucks from one search! Each MSBD holds over 400,000 Swag Bucks in Mega Bills ready to be given out to the lucky winners.
Aside from the special events, sometimes there will be Swag Codes. These codes give you extra Swag Bucks when you enter them on the site. The Swag Guy will release these codes through the Twitter feed, the Facebook fan page, and on the blog. Occasionally there will also be Swag Code Hunts, where you have to find the letters to a code hidden in several locations. The key to getting a lot of Swag Codes is to check the Twitter, Facebook, and Blog, because Swag Codes can be released at any time of day. Keep your eye out for those - they're a nice bonus. There's also a Widget that hints when a Swag Code is released - or even has a code inside! Make sure to get the toolbar as well, some messages from The Swag Guy will have codes in them as well. Lastly, subscribe to the monthly newsletter to get a Swag Code every month!
There are also several extra ways to win. The Special Offers page lets you make extra Swagbucks by completing tasks, such as downloading a program or signing up for a service. They also have tasks to complete (usually involving searching or testing things) and some promotional videos to watch. (By the way, I've discovered a way to get more Swag Bucks from videos! Just refresh and watch the videos again- they disappear after a while, but while they're up, you can click play and just let them play. I usually get credited for watching the video 5-6 times.)
Inside the Special Offers page is a section called No Obligation offers. If you skip all of those offers, you can earn Swag Bucks just for going through them! You can do this every day now, too!
If you're feeling lucky or have a few leftover Swag Bucks after a purchase, you can enter the Swagstakes to try and win good prizes. Right now, they have a Swagstakes for $2500 to Amazon. It's limited to the first 50,000 to purchase an entry, so as to lower the odds. Some Swagstakes are even for more Swagbucks!
If you have some old phones or games, you can trade them in to Swagbucks and get more Swag Bucks for your donation. I've never used this function, not really having an old phone or game, but it's also a pretty good way to earn.
If you shop online, you can make extra SBs while you're at it! Simply go to the shop and earn section and make your purchase(s). The Swag Bucks will be awarded to you once the order is verified. The supported stores list is growing, and they already have stores like Walmart, Target, and even iTunes! You can get extra Swag Bucks for buying the music you already get!
Come on, what have you got to lose? Start earning money today for doing what you already do!
